What My Week Taught Me

My Week begins with teaching me, no…..actually demonstrating to me that when ‘It’ shares with me something, it will be. It may not occur in ‘my’ time; however, it will.

So, after having Lizard show up several times and when Lizard enters the house, I am in awe; however, I am not surprised. I recall working with Lizard ‘Energy’ over the years; and I am so grateful for Lizard to return.

I am grateful for Lizard’s quiet and brief encounter with Napoleon, my ability to distract Napoleon and for Lizard listening to get to Higher Ground.

I’ve heard several times to set up and waterproof my recent gift, the tent, in my meditations. I hear it will rain, and yet the sun is shining. I move forth how I am guided. The tent gets complete. I am gifted an opportunity to serve and surprisingly raise cash.

Then, as the rains pour in, I am guided onto the computer, into a location and find some missing stories I had written!! Giving me the opportunity to do my “normal Sunday journaling.” It really does all get done…..and effortlessly when I listen to my Breath and follow the Natural Flow.

It is like being a playful Puppy with wings jumping through and as the Clouds…..I am grateful for the reminder.

Monday is chilly; so Napoleon and I are grateful for the extra snugly wugly all day while I work on edits for the next book. So, for someone who dislikes cold; I can admit, the cuddles is a good benefit of cold.

The first proof of the first book arrives!! I am grateful, excited, and yet…..there is more edits to do, for sure.

With this and some other interesting news I receive; I could feel how my Energy is beginning to fall. I step outside to begin playing peek-a-boo with Lizard. The fogginess clears, my thoughts shift, and though not crystal clear, I can see the good in it all at the same time…..Spirit has some magic coming and I get the opportunity to grow some by letting this flow through me…….And Hawk screeches flying through.

I gift myself into surrendering to the editing process….with Faith of where it is leading. If I listen to my some of my thoughts, it would be easy for me to just stop. Instead, I keep surrendering to what the energy is leading me to ‘do.’

Wednesday…..oversleep but have an inceredible snuggle with Napoleon….it is all about the book edits and wow! As I am reading the pages…..I gotta keep grounding.

Like Lizard…….”Keep your head risen and follow your Guidance.”

Thursday it is all about the Book edits…….Wow! There is nothing like reading and editing 365 prayer meditations!! AND I still got to take Napoleon for a ride to the park! Then finish the day yoga… Awesome! Thank you Great Spirit!

The Sun attempts to hide, as I receive some more news which, once again, plummets me initially.

I pull up my Journal to write some thoughts and am met with a message………

Napoleon joins me as I treat myself to a Salt Bath………

and as I let it all go……I feel this focused determination flood me….and the Dragon above me begins spinning.

Friday I am naturally led into a fasting………and I am grateful for the focused, determined, two days of 365 Animal Gratitude book editing through these pages.

Balanced with hourly breaks of admiring the next Lily’s growth and the smiling Gladiolas………

and admiring the playful spouts between Napoleon and the Dogs.

and on Napoleon and I’s last walk for the week…..Saturday night…..The DragonFly whom had played with me numerous times over the past few weeks reminding me to dance and reflect the Light…..gifts Itself to me.

The Bear and the Self-Mirror

Several years back, my partner and I are staying at a house in Colorado. We are being hosted by a lovely couple in a huge “mansion” type house several miles back a gravel lane in the mountainous woods.
The wife is a soft, loving, artist, on the verge of being successful; however, must keep nursing to support them. The husband had quit his job, and is making attempts to be a motivational speaker.
We begin discussing what Ahowan teaches in our Ceremonial Workshops. How basically how ALL Animals mirror to us what we think, feel, believe, and vibrate at, whether we are conscious of it or not.
The man begins sharing with us how he had gone hunting in Alaska with a friend of his. He said witnessed a Bear swatting Its Cub ferociously, drawing blood, and that Bears are not good Mothers, they are vicious, aggressive, and very bossy. The Bear Cub had just wandered off a ways from the Mother, and was giving an unnecessary scolding, in his opinion. He asked, “What does that say about me?”

Before answering, his wife spoke up, sharing how she believes they are very caring, loving, and not at all threatening. She proceeds to tell us her story of walking in the woods, without a gun, (stopping to apologize to her husband for not listening to him) and came upon two Cubs. The one Cub climbed up a Tree, while the other ran towards Its Mother. As the Mother came approaching, she slowly back up a distance from the Tree. The Mother called out. The Cub climbed down and ran towards Its Mother.

She stated she never felt threaten, that it felt very peaceful and caring. She was glad she did not have the gun because it may have been a different experience with that energy. She showed us her brass statue of the Bear and Cubs that she was inspired to create from the experience, the very intention of why she went into the woods.

After her husband scolded her, for going into the woods without the gun, my partner and I spoke three simple words, “There you go.”

The discussion came to halt, and was not mentioned again the entire week, unless the husband was not around.

Does that make either of them bad or good? NO, it just means that is how Spirit is role-playing through them at this time. And if we see something that we do not like, when we awaken to it, we can change it.

Nature mirrors to us, exactly what we need to see about ourselves. That is how the Laws of the Universe work……..That is how the Animals are “Man’s Best Friend.” They cannot lie, put on false faces, they are simply Pure.

They do what they do because that is how much the Animals love us and want to Awaken to our True Self.

So, the question goes to you, “What do you think of Bear?”

6 Nov/Dachshund Distemper

This is a belated story; however, one I feel the pulsating desire to share. This Dachshund was brought to an Animal Ashram I was volunteering at in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was surrendered by an owner with illness called Distemper. This disease unfortunately is very prevalent here. Many of those affected do not survive; however, this particular Ashram has a very good success rate. They give very good compassionate care, check on the Animals very frequently, giving not only what is necessary for the physical body, in all ways, they also give what is necessary for the emotional body. They are very much at service to the Animals, and the Love radiates from them all.
I have even noticed, how when they catch the Dogs for Spay/Neutering, they offer a prayer and mark their third eyes with a blessing. This means they are even connecting with the Spiritual body. They are very tender, caring, compassionate Souls………and this plays out in the Animals they receive there, as well. There are very few that are attracted here that ever get aggressive.
That includes this one, even while it was receiving treatment.
As an Animal Chaplain, going in to pray and offer healing sessions to the Animals, I noticed this particular one healed very, very quickly, just as all of them do here. Distemper is a neurological disease that quickly effects the nervous system. So what does this mean about the Human Consciousness it is mirroring? And why does this particular Animal Ashram have such a high success rate in treating?
For me, it means they are very well balanced in their understanding of their own emotional, physical, and spiritual bodies. They do not allow the beliefs of the world to effect their nerves, and create disease in their neurological thinking, that in turn, can effect their brain to function their bodies.
In being fully balanced themselves, they have the capabilities to correct any imbalance quickly and give what is properly needed right away, not only to themselves, but those around them.
This means, when we are centered and balanced within ourselves, in all of our needs, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, we have the ability to see and hear our Divine for what is needed to help those around us without getting caught up in the Dis-ease process and provide the care needed for our fellow Animals, be it human or non-human.
I challenge every Animal Ashram to provide this type of training care to their staff, so that all the Animals win, and the suffering is eradicated in such a timely and humane way. In this way, we truly can, and will end suffering.
