What a Wild Ride

The pendulum, called Life, swings to experience it all

I am grateful I have :

been given all I need for every desire.

lived foolishly materialistic, learned what it taught me.

lived foolishly for survival, learned what it taught me.

lived foolishly for what I thought was love, learned differently.

met the most loving, peaceful, joyful Animals; and meet aggressive, sad, hurting Animals.

been to the most beautiful, adventurous places; and others in which finding the beauty is the adventure.

I am grateful I have:

savoured the most delicious foods; and some which are quite interesting.

consumed, swam, bathed in the purest of waters; been without water, and have experienced waters unworthy of the name.

experienced enticing and magical moments with Nature, and moments where I feared  Nature.

shared love with loveables, shared love with ‘untouchables,’ and shared love with unloveables.

felt orgasmic synchronicity with every passing cloud, every passing thought, every wonder in my heart; and experienced being totally blind to even seeing the clouds, my thoughts, my wonders.

experienced loving myself, my body, my mind and wanting to live endlessly, hating myself, my body, my mind and wanting to die, and I have even tried over and over.

I am grateful I have:

experienced living for myself and being selfish, living for others and being of service.

destroyed, killed, created, healed, cried, laughed, been deathly ill, with a home, without a home, over fed, starved to hospitalization, clothed lavishly, and clothed humbly.

I have seen, ignored, spoken, and been the most despicable; and seen, ignored, spoken and been the most peaceful.

meditated on wisdom, witnessed wisdom, been tethered, caged, drugged, stolen, raped, forgiven, and been forgiven.

a victim and a victor, the punisher and punished, the aggressor and the aggressed.

been married, divorced, pregnant, and lost it.

beaten, laughed at, adored, mocked, discouraged, inspired, danced, sung, played and been lazy, pushed myself beyond limits and procrastinated.

I am grateful I have:

loved and loving, hateful and hated, created drama and peace, hurtful and hurt.

I love and appreciate all of my path. I know if I had not experienced one part, I would not have known the other.

I carry it all in my heart…..and though there is so much more to experience, and I am grateful to do so, I can say I choose to experience and give only the best of what I know it all can be.

and yet, if I disconnect from this earthly plane at any time, I can say I am ‘saving’ the world by savoring the best of it all in my grateful heart.

Animal Hypocrisy

I have been sitting with, or some would call meditating, contemplating, or looking at, the ‘outrage’ of some recent events around our fellow citizens of this Earth. These fellow Creatures we call Animals. Please note, for the record, I am not saying what anyone believes or does is right or wrong, only you can answer that question for yourself. What I am saying is that when we get angry, outraged, hurtful, or ‘hateful’….. it is about what is going on….but not out there……..it is always a mirror of what is taking inside ourselves.

Now for me, the word Animals includes Humans (see ahowanicrow.wordpress.com); so I will forgo the full explanation at this time, and I will utilize the term Animals for the non-humans here. What is important here is the fact that I am asking us all to take a much deeper look at own personal integrity of what we believe when it comes to how we feel, what we do, and what we support around the Animals. The way we feel and treat the Animals is the way we feel and treat ourselves.

Just recently, there was a lot of anger, and even growing protest, around a particular video with regards to the German Shepherd, Hercules in “A Dogs Purpose” movie. It may be rightfully so, with the way it was portrayed. I, too, at first glance, was extremely upset; however, the ‘facts’ surrounding the situation had not been released. I know from past experience, that it is easy to feed into the raging emotions of anger, hatred and protest, before truly looking into “facts,” and taking a deeper understanding of what may really be happening. Just today, http://tinyurl.com/hs66ktd …..I recommend you take a look at it.

There has also been the situation of two young men cutting the ears off of a Dog, which was tied up and restrained. Looking at the pictures, it is hard not to feel the pain of the Dog, get emotional, and want the young men punished.

Personally, my attention then goes to the young men, and I begin to wonder what immense suffering, pain, and disconnect these ‘boys’ must be going through inside their own minds and hearts, to inflict this much torture upon another living creature…….and I see this as a “cry for help.” I, myself, have been in much pain, immense suffering, and in complete disconnect crying out for help…..and in that state, I hurt some Creatures around me…..but stay with me here……

Petition is at https://www.dailypetition.com/Punish-thugs-that-cut-dogs-ears-off-and-posed-for-photos-t-745 ….please do not get me wrong that punishment is not in order. What I do know is that Karma ALWAYS plays out…..It is a Law of Nature.

The point here is, we all know these stories, the stories of these single Animals, or situations, which brings much compassion and bursts of angry rage…… like the shooting in the Zoo of Harambe, or Michael Vic with the Pit Bull ring, and many others. We even get extremely upset and angry when we hear about different countries and their Cultural Festivals around barbaric slaying of Animals by the thousands for appeasing their Gods.

Then, we sit down for a meal……or have a cup of milky Chai!!

So, how is this………

Any different than this……..

One is begin done by a private individual, or group; however, one is being done by ‘US.’

Is this ‘why’ many of us get so deeply angry? because deep down we know what is taking place; and we feel conflicted inside…..the only difference is ‘we’ have someone else doing it for us, and we pay for it.  That is pretty “in our face” isn’t it……however, it is the Truth. WE ASK FOR IT because we believe what “they” tell us about the ‘product;’ however, if you REALLY dig deep into the facts…..it is actually what is making ‘us’ all SICK, needing all the pharmaceuticals which ….. once again, are tested on Animals, hurting the environment, the major cause of global warming, and world starvation, all these childborne illness, outbreaks, ect……….now there is some great Karma for us.

We LOVE our Animals, no doubt about that. We do not want to see them hurt. However, many of us refuse to really look at, feel, and want to change THAT which we are eating or drinking …….. and we can come up with many, many excuses!! Trust me, I have done it myself.

When you realize that the reason these Animals are in these Big Business Factory Facilities, going through the pain and treatment, because of what humanity ‘thinks’ they need to eat to survive, because we have been taught that it is what we need, its culture, or tradition…..without really looking at the true facts of what Animal Products does to one’s health, our environment, global warming, our water supply………wow, it literally hits you in the stomach.

THIS is where integrity comes in…… if you get angry, want to throw those in jail, or punish in some other way, for brutally hurting the Animals……take a look at your own plate first. If you want to continue to get outraged at those who hurt Animals, by all means I completely understand and it is definitely your right; however, realize there is an entire “Industry” with millions and millions of Animals enslaved, with a Soul just like the German Shepherd, just like the Dog with its ears cut off and just like the Gorilla which got shot …… and remember none of the Big Business Animal Agriculture would be taking place, if WE chose to leave it all at the grocery store.

So, I ask, Animal Lovers……If you get outraged, hurtful, protesting about a single event; then it is time to channel that outrage, hurtfulness, and protesting towards Big Business Agriculture, and stop buying Animal products.

When we save the Animals, we save ourselves. When we free the Animals, we FREE ourselves…..

I urge you to do your own fact checking, and here are just a few links to get you started.

18 Nov 2014/Sacred Cow and Dog

So as I go out onto the street of Mall Ave, here in Lucknow, of Uttar Pradesh, India to feed what I call a Prayerful Feeding for the Street Dogs, I hear a Cow “mooing”. It sounds almost distressful. I cannot help but walk down the street to “see” what is happening.
It is standing in the street, seeming to took for something. As I approach the Cow, It starts to walk toward me as if It knows I have food. It is sensing that I want to connect, and that I am of no harm.
Now, the “Queen” street dog of this territory, “Chameli” sees me, and knows I have food, and she come running to me. As I try to give the Cow a biscuit, she begins to bark in attack toward the Cow. I give her a gentle correction and offer her a biscuit, and then give the Cow a biscuit. I then begin walking back to the normal feeding sight. The Cow and Chameli begin following me. As I offer another biscuit to each this begin a game of offering to both. It become a offering of gratitude to both the Sacred Mother that nurtures us, and the Faithful Dog that offers us Father-like Protection, and the Unconditional Love that the balance of the two as One give us.
Just then, a motorcycle approaches. Upon this motorcycle is a man and boy. They stop next to us and the boy gets off, making loud noises toward Chameli to scare her off. I acknowledge them with a Namaste, and the boy approaches the Cow. I understand this is their Cow, and they are wanting her to return home so they can milk her very engorged teets. The man bows with a Yes and the boy walks over to the Cow smacking her across the face. The Cow closes her eyes in a wince and turns her head. The voice in me hollers out, “No, No….what is that for? Why do you smack her?” The man says some words to the boy and moves the motorcycle over by him, and passes the Cow toward the direction they need to travel. The boy looks at me, and then get on the motorcycle. The man then offers mooing noises to the Cow, and the Cow begins to follow them. As they go around the bend in the road, the boy keeps turning to look at me, in wonder.
I continue to set up the feeding mandala for the Dogs, calling Chameli back in, and contemplating the teaching lesson that we all just received through these Animals.
If one smacks the Sacred Cow, and scares off the Father Protector, they will run off or bite you. However, if you treat them kindly, with sacredness they will follow you anywhere, care for you, offering all they have.
We have a choice in what we teach our children. We have a choice in how we treat the Sacred Beings of our Creator. If we are kind, gentle, and offer in a sacred loving way, they will come and respond in this same way. If we are aggressive or scary, they get aggressive back or run away.
We are responsible to teach and more importantly demonstrate to our Children these Truths. Especially if we want them to live in a better world that we all keep “talking” about wanting.
What we put out to the world is what the world gives back to us. In this world, maybe some of us Adults need to learn and live them ourselves, the children will follow and the world will be a much better place for all Animals.
